Setup
1. Log in to your CDN77 Client Panel and locate ‘Origins’ on the sidebar. From there, select the ‘CDN77 Object Storage’ menu and click on the ‘Create new object storage’ button.
2. Choose a label for your storage bucket and select your desired region.
Note: Please be aware that the label (bucket name) is publicly visible by default.
This means that if you set your objects (files) as publicly accessible, other users may be able to request these files, potentially sending requests to your bucket via the S3 API and generating egress traffic, potentially leading to additional fees.
To avoid this, we recommend keeping the objects inside your bucket private, which is the default setting. This way, you can ensure that only authenticated requests made using your CDN77 Object Storage credentials can request these objects, helping you avoid unexpected charges.
3. You will be prompted to record your access key and secret key. Be sure to save this information, as it will not be accessible after closing the prompt.
4. Once the storage bucket has been successfully created, all relevant information will be displayed. You can now assign your existing CDN Resources to this storage.
Assigning CDN Resources to the CDN77 Object Storage
To integrate and start using the CDN77 Object Storage with our CDN, you will need to create the CDN Resource you wish to use with this Origin type.
When creating a new CDN Resource you can choose to select the object storage as the data source
Once created, the CDN Resource generally takes 5-15 minutes for all configurations to fully propagate, after which time it will be ready to use.
Creating a CDN Resource will generate a unique CDN URL from which the contents of your Object Storage can be accessed. Using the CDN URL will ensure that the requests use our CDN network, and prevent unnecessary egress fees.
Your CDN URL can be found in the CDN Resource details.
In case you want to change the Origin for an already existing CDN Resource, you can so directly from the Resource Overview page
