Wordpress CDN Storage integration using W3TC plugin

Before you take any steps please backup your Wordpress site and database.

1. The first thing you have to do is install the W3 Total Cache plugin to your Wordpress blog. There are two different ways to install the plugin.

  • Go to the following page and download the plugin. (You do not need to unzip this file)

  • Login to your Wordpress administration section.

  • Go to Plugins and click on Add new.

  • Click on the Upload link in the top navigation bar

  • Click on the Choose File button and browse to the W3 Total Cache plugin you downloaded

  • Click on the Install now button to install the extension into your website

  • Click on Activate to run the plugin.


  • Log into your Wordpress administration section

  • Click on the Search link in the top navigation bar

  • Type W3 Total Cache in the input and click on Search Plugins

  • Select Install now

  • Click on Activate to run the plugin.

2. In the side menu find the Performance tab and click on it to open up the W3T main configuration area..

3. Scroll down to the CDN section.

4. Check Enable and select Self hosted / file transfer protocol from the CDN type drop down menu.

5. Click Save all settings as shown in the image.

6. In the side menu under Performance or in the horizontal menu at top of the page click on CDN.

7. Scroll down to the Configuration section and enter your connection credentials in the FTP inputs. You must then entire your CDN URL into the input field Replace site’s hostname with.

To retrieve your FTP login simply log your CDN77 control panel and click on the Storage menu. You then must click on the Credentials Connections menu for the FTP login to display. To retrieve your CDN URL log into the management area of your CDN Resource.

8. Click Save all settings.

9. Scroll up to the General section. Tick  the first three options and click on Upload Attachments.

10. Tick the Host Custom Files box then click on Upload Custom Files.

11. Check Import external media library attachments.

12. Click Save all settings.

13. Go back to General. Click on the Deploy button, then on Save all settings as shown in the picture.

If by clicking on Deploy you are forwarded to the page displaying: WordPress Failure Notice: Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.

Click on Please try again.

You should now see a yellow header at the top. Click on the Deploy button.

To confirm that the plugin is working view the page source of your website. If your URL paths are showing the CNAME then you've successfully integrated your website with our CDN77 Storage.
